Chapter 6!
The next few periods passed by in a blur. Before I knew it, it was time for lunch. i really didn't feel that hungry, so i just boought a soda. soon I was looking around the crowded cafe looking for a seat when i noticed a girl from my french class waving at me. As i sat down i realized i couldn't remember her name but she told me it again anyways, her name was Jessica. as she introduced me to people around the table, I looked around the cafe, to see were other people sat. I noticed amy sitting a few tables away, with a couple of other people, it took me a mintue to recognize who she was sitting with.
She was sitting with none other then Jason. I could tell tell by the back of his hair, and with the girl with the red hair next to him, practiaclly all over him, she was literally sittig on his lap. But i stopped looking at them and looked back at Amy, who was reading a book, and almost as if i called her name she looked up at me and waved me over to the table. So I said "I'll talk to you later" to Jessica and walked over to Am'y table. Amy pointed to the seat in front of her, so i sat down in it.
When I sat down, Amy smiled and asked me "So how has your first day been?" I simple replied "Ok, I've had classes that I thought were pretty good, and the kids are nice here too." With that, almost like I called his name, Jason looked our way. Then he turned to amy and said, "Hey Liz, i didn't know you were friends with my sister". My mouth slowly slide open in a surprised expression, and Amy went into detail about it, "What my a adopted brother is sauing is that we were adopted by our parents the noelsons when we all were little kids, we all have different birth parents, everyone of us at this tanle was adopted, well except for you and amanda," as she pointed to the red-haird girl. there were two other kids at the end of the table, a boy whose name was kyle and the girl was his biologial sister laura, who were talking quietly to each other.
So we made light conversation until it was time to go to our next period class. Then Amy asked something unexpected,"Hey, I know you Just moved here and all, and i didn't know if you had other plans tonight, but do you wanna come over and spend the night?" I was excited, i mean it was after all my first friday night here, so i said, "Yea! sure, but i'll have to let my mom know and how do I get there, i mean I don't know where you live?!" and she replied "Oh, don't worry abot it, for both things, I'll come pick you up, or if not me Jason will." Then I replied "So give me your number so I can call and let you know when to come pick me up ok?" she laughed and gave me the number.
Jason was waiting just a few feet away from us, I think to walk with me to our our next period class together. He turned to me as we were walking and said "So I didn't know you and my sister were friends?" and I replied "Yea we are, but i didn't know she was your sister either, Oh and before I forget, she invited me to stay over your house tonight." His grin widened and he said "Oh really?" and I replied "Yup and she said she was going to pick me up at my house, and if she couldn't you would." I paused and waited for him to react. He smiled at me and said "What were you expecting me to have othere plans with other people at the same time?" and I replied "No, I just figured you might have other plans with that girl, what was here name... Amanda right?" he laughed and said "No, we were going out for a while for a while but i broke up with her about two weeks ago, but I don't think she gets the fact that I just don't want to be with her anymore" and again I said something without wanting to "But I saw you guys kiss this morning!" He replied simple, "She kissed me, because she saw you and instantly got jealous and she wanted you to think I was off the market" and I replied with and "Oh." Then I got a thril through me, a girl was actually was jealous of me. ME! Just as I was about to try talking to him about something else, when he said," It didn't help mcuh, for me to keep talking about you to her, for her to like you either" and i said "You were talking about me to her?" and he said " Yeah, I thought thaat it would give her the hint, that I don't want her anymore" and with that we walked into Geometry.
Geometry I so totally hated. The teacher, Mr. Tumbling was the only teacher that made me stand up in front of the class and introduce myself. Of course, my voice came out all squeaky and I often studdered, but eventually I was able to go back to my seat. The rest of class went smoothly, I even managed to finish writing the poem I had started in English, that morning. Finally it was time to go home, I was so excited about tonight, I couldn't wait. Of course, since me and Jason were parked near each other, we walked together. But just as we rounded the corner, we saw amanda leaning against Jasons Hummer. So we made our way over, and the nhe asked just as we got there, "So what was your address you said to pick you up at?" and I smiled and said, " Laketown court drive, number 436." Then still smiling I climbed into my Jeep and turned on the music just in time to blast out the screams of Amanda.
As I pulled into the driveway atthe house, I knew this must be one of the mights my mom must be working late. So I wrote a note and put it on the fridge telling her what I was doing tonight and left the phone number so she could get a hold of me if she needed me for anything. Then I went upstairs and noticed some really nice, yet sexy pajamas folded up on my bed. With a note from my mom saying that she thought i could use some new ones. So i grabbed a small duffel bag I had in my closet and stared packing my bag, loading it with clothes and cd's and other things i would need for the night. I even packed the small bag of make-up my mom gave me,as well as my book of poems and then i wasn't sure what else to bring so I zipped up my bag. Just as i was about to pick up the phone and call Amy, the hair on the back of my neck stood up on end and i looked otu my window, and saw a black Hummer sitting in the drive-way, i hadn't even heard it pull up. Then i heard a knock at the front door, and it sent my heart racing. So i grabbbed my bag and headed for the door, it was Amy at the door and she smiled. She said "So are you ready?" nad i replied "I didn't know what else to bring, so yeah." Then she asked "Do you have an outfit for a party?" Let me tell you that one caught me off guard, "No, atleast i don't think so" she laughed and said "That's ok, I think we're the same size, so I think you can borrow something of mine!" I smiled and we walked to the Hummer. The only down side was the fact of how tall the thing was, i actually had a hard time getting up in it, while I was struggling I felt a pair of hands help boost me up. as I turned to thank who i thought was Amy for helping me up, it turned out to be Jason. when he smiled at me before he shut my door, I blushed a really deep red.
