I was listening to my morning radio show today when the topic of lying came up. Which gender makes a better liar more specifically. So the question "what's the longest running lie you've told?" was posed and listeners were to call in and share. Well one listener "Pat", called in and calmly announced to me and a few thousand other faithful listener that she is marrying a man on Sat. Her lie? She used to be a man.
Despite the obvious "ok so he had a sex change" revelation, it was also explained that "Pat" grew up as a gay male in a tiny tight-knit community not far from here. Hmmm. Ok, so "Pat" takes the lucky man to this tiny town and no one spills the beans. How long will that keep up? My first thought was "oh, Holy Hell, this guy is going to murder him/her/it when he finds out he's been doing a "dude".
Now I hate to sound so completely closed minded on this, but come on guys...let's say you've been with someone for 4 years, are about to marry her (in a Catholic church nontheless) and you find out that your little princess used to have a pee-pee. You are going to stand there and tell me with a straight face and slow pulse that this wouldn't provoke you to committ murder? Or substantial bodily harm at least? I didn't think so.
While I have absolutely no issues with homosexuals, transgenders, etc. it would be completely naiive and, for a lack of a better word, stupid of me to think that the rest of the world shares in my live and let live lifestyle. Especially here in the bible thumping, fire and brimstone, God fearing Midwest.

men make the best liars because they don't even know they are lying half the time. they lie to themselves and then to us not knowing shit.

That's awful that he/she hasn't yet told his/her husband-to-be.
How very selfish of that person.

Always considered myself liberal.. I support Canada's same sex marriage laws, laws prohibiting discrimination against homosexuality, support legalized prostitution, etc. However, I have some concerns on the whole transgender issue.. I haven't researched it fully so I don't have a definitive opinion but I have to admit that my first impression is that, even if you have an operation to change your physical appearance and organs, that you can't really change your gender.. I mean, I may be wrong, but it's my understanding that you cannot change your chromosomes, etc. and a transgendered individual will still retain qualities of their previous sex such as men who have become women will still tend to have greater strength (which is why there is controversy about letting such individuals compete in women's sports).

what's even funnier is that I had a friend who went through a sex-change operation. His/her stuff looked completley different than mine. There must be something seriously wrong with that dude to not realize...hmmm. I agree though most people finding something like that out no matter how "gay-friendly" they are would be shocked beyond belief..

Let me date someone and not know... (first let me say, i am not stupid, so I think I would be able to figure it out. Hey honey? why do you get your chest waxed? And how come you can change a tire faster than me?)
But I think I would loose it, I mean ok you just found out it is a man... reguarless of what ya got between your legs, if I did a DNA test it would say guy... Man o man I would have to walk away. If not for fear of hurting someone ...

And what about the Adams apple, that can never go away.
But more to the fact how exhusting it would be to keep up with the charade. I mean not only have you told the lie in the frst place put what other have you told just so that the first one doesn't come up. Isn't it said one follows another an another and another. What a horrible vicious circle.
Anyone know of any good shrinks and lawyers for this guy I think he may need it in the future

Okay... I am loud and proud lesbian female and even I have to say... that Mrs use to be Mr, is up for a beat down. I would grow a pee pee and tell some bore girl that I use to be lady just as she. I know not to step my first step in hell by not only loving the ladies but lying to them too. But hey some folks just want to belong... but love is not going to stand on a lie that freaking big. Shoot, I can barely get out of the...oh my I cheated can you forgive me lie of two years ago.
