Sometimes your memory sneaks up on me when I'm not looking.
And most of the time I don't think of you kindly.
But on nights like these when thoughts of you blindside me I wonder
what happened to honesty and all things promised?
And although you've proven yourself to be quite replaceable,
there are still those seconds when my heart feels betrayed all over again
and the pain feels as fresh as a newborn child.
Leaving me angry and inexplicably wild.
Just some thoughts I've been carrying around for awhile and needed to get out of my system.
