| Splat, Crunch (I'll Explain Later) |
Here I am, in fabulous Sin City. I have already managed to lose more money that I am comfortable talking about. But hey, no bets=no wins, right? I am completely exhausted and fighting the urge to nod off until I can at least get this typed out. My husband looks awful cozy sleeping in that king sized bed...
Anyway. The trip was great, flights on time, very little turbulance, basically uneventful. Met by Thoughts staffer Shannon and husband (blanking on his name at the moment, but I can picture him perfectly). Very nice, hopped a limo with us to the Mirage. Must say I am feeling like quite the celebrity. Checked in, awesome room. Very sleek and modern. Love it.
Fast forward about six hours, twenty casinos, five miles of walking and lots of money later and it is time to meet my fellow bloggers. Nervous as I was, it went pretty well. Everyone was super nice and it was just an absolutely surreal experience getting to meet all these people I have never seen but who have access to what is really going on inside my head. To keep this short and sweet I'll throw some observations your way:
AllThingsBuck: Sadly couldn't make it, so I have nothing to report.
BadlyDrawnStickman: Not at all what I expected, even though I don't really know what I DID expect. Very tall, handsome, quiet and wears some kick-ass shoes.
Ben, Valentina, Shannon, Shannon's Husband (still blanking on the name-it will come to me) and Valentina's mom: Awesome people. Very nice, down to earth and just all around "good people".
ColoradoDreamin: Haven't really had the chance to chat her up yet, but seems very nice.
DifficultSoul: Just as gorgeous in person as her online photos.
BootLady: I do believe we may have been sisters in a former life............ :)
Mandie(what the hell's her number again?): You already know what I think of this little firecracker.
Roe: Very nice (and has her Netti-Pot along), but still trying to figure out why she told Wayne she was 'scared to meet' me.
Scotslad and Forgetmenot: A charming, down to earth couple. I love his accent and the way they are together...just happy.
TonyRay: Another couldn't make it....but judging from the texts I've been getting for the past couple of months he seems like a pretty cool cat.
Wayne: Fun! Fun! Funny!
Wlamebull: Another fun one to hang around and chat with.
PS: For those of you who care (and if you don't-you must leave my blog immediately!); Mandie, Aaron and I have thus far completed two of our ten items on the scavenger list: Hooker (x2) and Transvestite.
