Aaron and I spent the entire day stripping the paint off the front porch. Whoever painted that thing in the first place did one hell of a piss-poor job. What's the point in doing something if you're not going to do it right? "God must love stupid people, he made so many of them." It's just a good thing I love handling power tools....a bit of tomboy in me if you look hard enough.
Anyway, my interview on Friday WAS cancelled due to the lower half of the state being closed down. Hopefully Tuesday the roads will be clear and open so I can make it to the tentatively resecheduled interview. Oh jeeze, the news just came on and my county is seeing the "worst flood of this generation". Great. There is literally no "detours" available, or road signs saying "road closed", "detour", etc. Ugh. So much for drowning myself in a toilet-I can just do it in my backyard.
A friends parents 10 minutes south of us actually got evacuated because there is four feet of water around their house and has gone into the house. Oh, if only I were a mermaid...
