hi ladie...
can't disagree with you in the least...there seems to have been a loss or confusion of priorities somewhere along the line...can't see it getting any better either...yup, it's sad.

LG, i agree 100% with you. I have ideas for punishment regarding anyone who hurts and kills children. Tax dollars would not be spent, except the cost of a single bullet. And the man in Louisianna who threw his kids off the bridge because he was upset at his wife.... Susan Smith.... and the list goes on.
I came across a movie with that yoyo Lohan in it last night and thought about her and Paris and Spears and all the other wonderful rolemodels for kids... |

I am shocked that someone would want and is capable to throw a child from a bridge. Will he receive the death penalty for that - he should.

Seems like it the laws and punishment stink over there just as much as they do here.
Recently over here, there was "alleged" 10 year old girl gang raped by 6 20+ year olds. The judge turned around and said that the girl probably asked for it so they all got a slap across the wrist and sent on their merry way. There is justice for you. |

| It can be frustrating to look at the crimes that are committed but I still think that, compared to history, things are gradually getting better. From what I can tell from history violence was far more common in centuries past...in fact, many terrible things were considered perfectly legal and socially acceptable (i.e. beating your wife, slavery, torture, pedophilia, etc.) |

| I think the deeper problem here is the state of mental health care in this country, we are simply letting people with mental disorders (which could be diagnosed and treated) run around without getting them the help they need, finding the services and then getting them are more difficult than most people can imagine, trust me, I have been there and done that and I am still not getting the help I really need for my daughter, I just don't know why we would rather see people hurt someone innocent than help them get the help they need.... |

| i read this story too, though i've been avoiding those types of stories b/c they upset me so much. there are some sick people in the world and i wish that our country would spend more time dealing with those types rather than making criminals out of potsmokers. and unfortunately, in jail, they'll protect this f*ck, separating him from the general population b/c they would hurt him if they had the chance. it's just messed up. |

| You're missing the forest for the trees. The number of such incidents is so incredibly low per capita that they are a statistical drop in the bucket. They just get a lot of media attention. The vast majority of people behave morally. |
