| Make A Friend, Lose A Friend

I am emotionally drained. Since signing up here, I have made countless friends who all mean a great deal to me. However, they seem to keep disappearing on me. Am I toxic? Do I smell? I can't help but get emotionally attached to those of you who set your daily life right before my eyes for the watching. But I don't just watch, I end up caring.
Perhaps we should start a "Thought Cemetary". To remember those we have loved and lost-or hated and lost. Thankfully, some friends (Raj and OLP) rise from the grave and return to us. But then there are those (TranquilGala, Bullseye, etc.) who leave, never be heard from again.
You should have to sign a contract to blog here. Otherwise little pieces of me get taken away with every friend that finds the door. Soon there will be nothing left of me. Too bad I can't be the big, tough person I like to disguise myself as-underneath it all, I feel everything.

LG - I hear you, it's even worse when they leave without a farewell. Hopefully people like you with golden hearts, and true concern will draw them back to the fold.
I have no words of wisdom, I couldn't help in the latest departure...... I just hope those who leave, do so because they've found something better.
Although I love it here myself.

awwww......I didn't think it hurts others when I take a leave of absense, sorry, I will try not to do it again! I have missed you guys, just needed a break....you don't smell that bad...LOL

I think life is alot like that too... people drift from place to place looking for something and if they do not find it or maybe their life takes them in another direction. I understand what you mean though.

Have to agree with you ladiegodiva. Generally speaking I get attatched to people easily as opposed to other people who seem to flutter here and there without a care! I guess I kinda think why after getting to know someone somebody would just up and leave without a trace :( But I do think that people come and go and it most likely has to do more with their life circumstance than yours. Not to say that it doesn't hurt! Take care D:)
