Brace yourself my dear reader, I am about to head down the twisted and morbid path. I just saw the headline on msnbc.com about a senator's son who was killed by a parade float. My first thought? Honestly? What a pitiful way to die.
That's like saying oh, he fell out of bed and died. Kind of a pansy way to go if you ask me. Imagine being a kid and asking a parent, "what happened to Uncle So & So?" "Oh, he was fatally injured when a parade float ran him over at the very excessive speed of 6 mph..."
I know it's really gruesome of me to think like this, but I just can't take it seriously. It's stupid. It's the stupidest way I've ever heard of someone dying. If I'm going to die by getting run over it better be something cool that kills me. Or at least something that's doing the speed limit for gods sake. Horrible me, I know, but come on-a parade float??? |

i don't think we should remember or people for how they died, but instead how they lived.
