It's getting ready to storm here, the air smells heavy and the wind brings a cool dampness through the windows to where I am sitting, writing this. It has been a long day in more ways than one. When a friend is ready to pack up his/her bags and find a new place to lay their roots, you can't stop them-you can't ask them to stay because what kind of selfish friend would that make you? Anyway, it's one of those nights, full of reflection and thinking. Mental exhaustion.
I've been working out the final details for the wedding. So many little things that take so much thought and effort and coordination. No one ever warns you about having to pick the right "processional" music or cake flavors or decoration scheme or arranging a time to go apply for a marriage license. Bastards, all they talk about is the ring and the dress. Well, let me tell you-there is SO much more than that. I'll be sure to warn the next girl.
And here I am. Twenty three days from taking on a new last name. From taking that giant leap of faith I really never thought I would take. There was a time before Aaron that I didn't believe in forever, I couldn't fathom it, I couldn't trust that one person could possibly love another enough to even consider promising eternity. I didn't believe I could be loved like that, let alone love like that. I've come a very long way, further than I ever thought possible.

LG, you will be a perfect Bride. Once the day is over, you can sit back and relax...I'm only havin' about 15 people at our Weddin'. I just finished pickin' out my Bridal bonquet, what a hard thing to decide on. LOL M-I-L just asked me about music, I was thinkin' 'OMG, we need music, don't rush me' We are only havin' a JP in Adam's 'rents backyard. But still...Ugh have you decided on what ceremony speech to have said. Ok, this sounds like I should be bloggin' this...LOL

No one warns you about that stuff do they! LOL...I remember thinking that a wedding is not so much for the bride and groom as it is for everyone else, my wedding is a blur, thank GOD there are pictures! LOL

Weddings, and change. I don't think I will ever have these worries, but my best friend does and we are making the changes and planning the entire thing together. It can be exhausting... but I am sure you will be the most beautiful bride... while you are changing your last name on Aug 23, I will be watching my friend change hers. It may not be me, but I am still a hundred percent involved.
