Charlie will be 10 months old in an hour and 10 minutes. She's getting brave in her old age. She's been pulling up to her knees and sometimes her feet and letting go. She's not cruising much thought (walking along the funiture). She sure is a big cheese ball when people are watching her, esspecially guys. She looks over her shoulder and gives a goofy grin. She does the same thing when she's about to do something she shouldn't (like put dog food in her mouth).
We spent a few hours with my friend Shannon who has a daughter about to turn 2. She's given us a bunch of hand-me-downs that have been a blessing to have. On Wednsday she got out her wagon and we took the girls to the park. It was Charlotte's first time at the park (that I know of). She went on the swing, and down the slide with me. And then she played a little with the sand. She wasn't sure what to think about it and I didn't give her time to try and eat it. On the way back she started to doze off, it was nap time.
I worked with Shannon for a year before she went on maternity leave, and then I was at Kodak when she came back to work. We weren't very close until I was pregnant. I think it was exciting for her to know someone her age, and not a relative (she has a large family too), that she could relate to. Our friends have mostly gone back to school and don't have plans to have a family in the near future (or ever for one of them). It's nice for Shannon and I to have eachother. We have more in common than we knew before. I just wish both little families had more time to get together.
I haven't made it to the rhumatologist yet. Maybe next week when I get paid. Shawn said his eye is feeling better. I'm hoping it's finally healing itself. He's still working too much and I'm still on the job hunt.
God bless,
Karen, Shawn and Charlotte
