like every girl in a relationship ... i love my boyfriend. i really do. we've been together as a couple for about 14 months now, but we were the absolute best of friends for three years before that. we each had our own boyfriend and girlfriend all the time but we had more fun talking to each other than anyone. we never even considered dating seriously because we were such good friends. then all of a sudden, the timing was right, we were each single, and i took a step and suggested getting together, even at the risk of loosing the best friend i've ever had. and let me tell you what ... do not be afraid to take risks! it turned out to be the ultimate BEST decision i ever made. yea, we've only been together a short time, but, well, have you ever wondered for a long time about a certain career that you want to pursue as an adult for the rest of your life, then looked and looked, and finally something just hits you. the realization that you have a passion for something and there's absolutely nothing you want to do more in your life. well, i have that same feeling with us, and the grand thing is he feels the same. i love that we were friends for a long time before we were together, because i know what he's like in a relationship, how he doesn't cheat on his girlfriends, how if he is with someone, he's with them and only them, he's always the one that gets his heart broken, he doesn't break hearts, he falls hard first, then hopes that his girl does the same. he opens the car doors, hugs you from behind, plays softly running his hands through my hair while he thinks i'm sleeping, when really i am just soaking it all up. i find that things that would drive me absolutely insane most of the time i think are cute when he does it. i have no ability to stay mad at him. our relationship is nowhere built on lust or sex, though we do have intimacy. there's nothing we can't talk about or we don't talk about. we understand one enother. we finish eachothers sentences without meaning to. he holds me when i sleep and just holds me close. he gets along with my friends. he sacrafices his time to be with me, though for him it isn't a sacrafice. anything more than two days apart feels like an eternity, though we enjoy our private time too. he loves me for me . . . and i love him. we plan for the future and we're smart about things. we take our future seriously. for example ... we are both going to college. him for nursing, and me for computer design and animation. we plan on getting engaged within the next year, and moved in with one another in hopefully another two years, two and a half at most. marriage comes after we are both graduated with our bachelors, and steady in a home, not apartment nor home for rent. we plan on moving to florida so i can obtain a job working with either pixar or dreamworks. and to make sure that our plans don't get messed up, we each agreed no longer to have sex until we are married. i think we are being rather smart and mature regarding our age. i believe in our relationship and i hope others whom know us come to believe in it to if they don't already ... we're serious and we are going to be together ... i can't wait
