 Valentine's Day Love
How would explain your love for someone when no one sees it? It’s not the gifts that make me happy; it’s always the thought behind it. But what if there is no gift is there no love? I can’t tell you what it means to love someone but I know it’s the greatest gift you could ever give someone. Yesterday was Valentine ’s Day, I didn’t receive a gift from my boyfriend, nor did I get him one, just a simple card that I spent hours on. It didn’t seem like a surprise to him at all that he would receive a card from me on that certain holiday that is set apart from the others by having a special someone. To me, it seems silly to set one day aside to show it; shouldn’t we give cards every day? It’s it because we love our special someone more on Valentine’s Day? I am not saying I hate the holiday but I am not particular fond of it. But yesterday when my boyfriend came home it seemed that it was any other day to him, with only difference of hearing happy Valentine ’s Day. I still received a kiss and a hug when he walked through the door. It was a huge awaken to me, that he loves me always the same way every day, not just because it was some holiday for couples. A gift is a gift, but love is more than any card or stuffed animal.
