| What Should You Expect? |
Assignment: tell an unborn child what the world is like and what to expect in the form of a poem.
In the world ahead, don't expect anything you don't do for yourself
You can't expect anyone or anything to treat you fairly
There will be hardships, there will be heartbreak
Love will betray you, God might turn his back, and you will lose sight of what is right
Your dreams won't come true and your fate isn't in your hands
Cherish your childhood and innocence because they will be swiftly stripped away
Take what the world throws at you and hold your head high
Make the most of what you have and you'll turn out fine
