Yesterday M told me that he and my good friend E were hanging out today. He has something like a crush on her but she has a serious boyfriend and is a year older. Based on conversations I have had with her, I thought he was joking and was like, "I see how it is, you can hang out with E, but not with me?!" Only because I haven't seen him in about a week or so. He told me that he was just kidding (which I already knew) and that he would NEVER hang out with E or at least not without seeing me first. I laughed and was like "ok."
Well today, E called me and told me she had plans to get ice cream with M today, but she was worried it would be awkward and wanted me to "show up." I told her about the convo I had with him yesterday, and she said that he flat out lied to me, because they planned this on Monday.
Well I “showed up.” It was actually really believably, because I work there and go there frequently. Anyway, we got into a fight later. He, I guess, could tell I was mad because he asked and I told him that I wasn’t mad that him and E got ice cream together. I told him I was mad that he felt that he needed to lie about it. I HATE when people lie to me! But, on the bright side, I know now that he probably just wants to be friends, because if he can arrange to have ice cream with E, then why did our plans almost always fall through? Hmm…maybe he didn’t really want to hang out.
