 should I be enjoying this?
Ok so there is this boy, joey, that I used to date (and were now friends) that I am supposed to hang out with over spring break.  I hung out with him one on one over winter break and it was somewhat awkward, so I asked Mike to come with us and be a buffer,,,(he's the mutual friend I talked about last time).  Anyway...I just told Joey that Mike "wanted to come."  I got a text from Mike saying that joey said he would be a third wheel and not to come.  He also said that joey still likes me.  What am I supposed to do it took me soooo long to get over him about a year or so ago.  I finally thought we were getting back t being good friends again.  So i told Mike this and he told me that he was "taking Joey's spot"  when I asked what he meant he said I would find out soon.  What does that mean?  Does he like me...or does he mean taking his spot as my friend??  I have no idea.  I think I like Mike, but my best friend (who is one of his really good friends) told me to be careful, because she thinks he is going to get back together with his ex.  She told me she doesn't want me to get hurt.  What scares me the most is that I'm enjoying this whole escapade...I don't know why.  Should I really like that Joey likes me when I'm finally completely over him?  Should i really be getting involved with someone that is trying to mend a previous relationship?  What's wrong with me?

Nothing is wrong with you! It's totally normal to feel good about getting attention, and sometimes it's a bit of an ego boost to learn that someone you are getting over does in fact really like you. It's okay to not be interested in Joey even though it may feel good to know he likes you.

As for Mike, proceed with caution. Since he's a friend, just ask him what his status is with his ex. If it's all clear and you think you want to go for it, get a little flirty with him and see how he responds. Good luck!
