		WELL.... AFTER SEVERAL LONG HOURS OF EXTENSIVE "SOUL-SEARCHING" AND THINKING ABOUT MY ANSWER TO THIS RATHER COMPLICATED QUESTION.... I'D HAVE TO SAY THAT I (MORE OFTEN THAN NOT) SIMPLY SAY "SHOES AND SOCKS." UNLESS, OF COURSE, IF I'M NOT PLANNING TO WEAR ONE OR THE OTHER (OR BOTH) AT THAT PARTICULAR TIME.... IN WHICH CASE, I USUALLY CHOOSE TO LEAVE-OFF REFERRING TO EITHER IT OR THEM ALL TOGETHER. I HOPE MY ANSWER ONLY LEAVES YOU ABOUT HALF AS "CONFUSED" AS YOUR QUESTION HAS LEFT ME. I REALLY SUPPOSE MY QUESTION TO YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE... WHO CARES ??

		Depends. I either say "Susie, put on your shoes and socks!" or "I have to put my socks and shoes on!" ...i guess i use both.

		I have no idea. I suspect socks and shoes, if I'm thinking about it logically, but probably shoes and socks if I'm speaking without really thinking.

		socks and shoes just becauz in my mind i am thinking that i have to put my socks on then my shoes and so i just natually say socks and shoes. I do not know why you would think about putting shoes on and then socks that just doen't make sense. So why do you think about shoes then sock you should think about socks then shoes. What if by accident that you put your shoes on then your socks then you would have a big mess and if you are thinking socks then shoes then you will put them on that way.
