 Politically Inclined Blog
I will not get into who I am going to vote for in the upcoming primary elections or what "Party" I am affiliated with.  I am just going to tell you that I have been getting really into the whole election.  I am trying to really weigh my options here and not just go with the person everyone else is voting for.  I want to know the issues they stand for and the issues that go against my own thinking.  I have been doing alot of internet research, but hopefully I will get to hear some speeches and debates as well.  I really want everyone to know (especially people who are many years older than me) that I am 23 and I do care about the elections and do not take them lightly.  Hopefully other young voters realize that they need to make sure that they vote for the person that stands for the things that they believe in and not just  a person that they think looks good on the surface.  So even if you have a few minutes every now and then get on the internet....turn on the news.  All we can do is vote for someone we think will represent what we stand for to the best of their ability.  That being said Bill Clinton was in Lubbock Texas This past weekend go figure.  I never thought we would be in the same town.  Then again I guess I never thought about it in the first place.  I bet he did eat at the McDonalds here Joe!

So there we go !

 We shall overcome,

im a 70 yr.old white retired areospace engineer.last friday i drove to louisiana from tn. we have been in tn.since katrina.i talked to my kids/grandkids and we discussed the election on sat.i told them a story about myself back in the 50s when i was working in a machine shop in cambridge mass.across from MIT.i was eating lunch outside when a young guy came up to me and said he was running for senator and would like my vote.back then you had to be 21 and pay a poll tax to vote.this man was J.F.K. and ever since then the impression that he left on me has stayed.so sat.we went to vote and voted for OBAMA because i have felt the same feelings that JFK left with me all them years back.obama has a message for the young and the future of this country,i hope that the last 7++years can give all americans a positive feeling of hope with all the bad that has been done to our country and our kids/grandkids/great grand kids and us seniors.OBAMA would be A LOT BETTER than what we have been thru under the g.o.p.
thanks
