| Will this turn out to be a nightmare?

My ex-fiance' just let me and my two sons move in with him, he says that I don't have to pay any bills I can just provide the food and pay my own bills(car note, insurance and phone bill) and save my money to get a house because he knows that I really want a house! We broke up a few months ago because he was cheating on me. I feel like he is letting me do this because he feels guilty for treating me wrong, but my friends and family say that when I am ready to leave he will not be willing to let me go. He is not seeing anyone at this time that I know about and he says that he would like for us to get back together in the future but he realizes that it is his fault that we are not together now. There is another man that is very interested in me and my ex knows this and he just says "If I lose you forever that's just the price I have to pay for treating you wrong" Is this a situation that is too good to be true or will it backfire in my face? What do you think?
