To the readers, I hope to ask you a big favor. I earnestly ask people to comment about my blog by pointing out where i have commited grammatical and structural errors. The reason why I decided to blog is so that i could improve my English. I came from a country where English is regarded as a second language. Spoken english here, though still classified as English, is quite a different vernacular. The way we speak the language is sort of a commingling of different languages from Fokien to Malaysian then to English. Our common methods of communications involve simple english words like "How much", "Good Morning" and the likes. As a result,chances of developing and honing advance english skills is dim.
Now i start. I start by saying hello to everyone. This actually is a big start for me because its not really my practice to interact with other people. I'm more of an introvert. I find pleasure in lying down supine on a hammock with a book on my side. I hate going to clubs.. period.
I've read a book today and found it so beautifully written that i decided to share my insights to everyone. The book is titled: The Appeal, a book by one of my favorite authors--- John Grisham. Although im not really a frenetic lover of courtroom drama, i still value his writting skills. Truly a page turner, it has caused me a number of sleepless nights and will most likely to deprive me of more.
What sets this book apart from others is its rare ending. Its hard to end a book when a miscreant wins. I can say that I appreciate happy endings and despise melancholic conclucions. It's a pity that big corporations actually got away from poisoning a town. I mean I know for a fact that it truly happens in real life but this time, it came out from a book. It makes people think...
