Best Hair Colorist Chicago

For a professional stylist since (yikes!) 1984, I often help, even without seeing nice hair. While choosing the right color can be practically, emotionally, and financially based, you should actually consider these when making the correct choice. Let's get started!

Let me start by saying that I am a recently available working stylist, behind the chair five days every week. Most of my clients pay me to colour their hair, while May possibly a few that color it themselves in your house. I will address both of these options here, and help you to ask the right questions so that the best choice for you.

I believe it's best to have your hair colored by the professional. You're not surprised are you? Here's why: I've seen many "home" hair colors fail, and I assure you that it's more cost effective to have someone like me still do it the first time. Corrective color can be quite costly, not to mention the damage you're able to do by having to color again in a short span of time. If you absolutely must color in your house, I recommend using deposit-only shade, (which contains no ammonia and doesn't brighten the hair), and choosing a color that is at least one shade lighter than you think you want the first time. Don't trust the picture relating to the box! It's not what it appears quite often. It's much easier to darken large if it's too light than the reverse.

Okay, so you've decided to have your stylist color nice hair. If you're switching from a home office hair color, be aware that it could take a couple of salon visits to make the change-over. Depending on which you've been coloring using, your stylist may have to make some adjustments to your color that won't be completely transformed relating to the first visit. They're not for you. If you prefer a solid color, your stylist are able to determine which shade will continue to work best for you. Are you wanting as natural a look as you possibly can, just getting rid of the gray? That's an easy one. Your stylist can match your hair color as closely as they can, or add some other shades set for fun. Maybe a rich brown with a hint of red? Some sort of coppery blonde? The options are endless. Just be careful in choosing a color that is too far away from your natural range, in depth or lightness.

Skin tone certainly plays into locks color. Mother Nature infrequently gets it wrong with what natural color she gives us, so I'd recommend not veering too far off from the all natural tone. If you get natural warm undertones, choose a color with at least slightly warmth to complement ones natural coloring; the same if you're ashier or cooler the natural way. It doesn't mean you can't have fun, and lots of the idea with hair color. So many possibilities exist, it's just for you to decide and your stylist to explore and discover the one(s) which can be right for you!
