Poem *34

Never do I want
to experience it ever again
something I loved so much
come to a complete dead end

No where else to go
no future will I see
the only choice I have left
is to turn around and leave

Leave it all behind me
just another part of the past
wishing it could of continued
just wishing it could have last

But theres other roads to take
and maybe they will be long
giving me the comfort I need
and the feeling as if I belong

But I'll always remember
the road I left behind
it will never be forgotton
always stuck in my mind

Maybe I'll take a detour
just to travel it once again
and maybe no longer will it be
just that same dead end

Maybe it will be lengthened
and now everywhere it goes
to be traceled on forever
never to be closed

So I'll keep that in mind
as I take a defferent street
I'll continue to look in the rearview mirror
hoping that one day again we shall meet

Me and that same Dead End Road
