Yikes, nearly forgot - so adding the story before I leave
Okay, this morn, when I woke and let my dog out - was making a drink and all I could hear was bark, bark, bark - now, my mutt, she often has a woof in the morn - sure its her way of saying 'hi, i am awake'
but today, instead of just a couple of barks, she kept on, so i looked out of the kitchen door, saw her standing there stock still, staring, tail wagging madly just 'woofing'
so theres me, just in a nightshirt, so quickly slipped my bomber jacket on and went out to see what she was staring and making a fuss at -
There, curled up in a tiddly ball was a 'wedgewog' [lil chuckle - sorry, i always have and make 'names' for different things - its actually called a hedgehog]
my dog was fascinated to see this 'pin cushion' there - as was i - so very carefully, i picked it up, it poked its lil snout out as if to say 'oi, where you taking me?' i checked it over - was no sign of injury etc and told my dog to wait whilst i took my spikey visitor into the wooded back alley along side my home - nestled him or her into a safe area on a bed of leaves, in a nice and thick bushy area, it was cute, as as i turned to look over my shoulder and head back to my garden, the lil wedge poked its nose out of the leaves and wiggled it as if to say 'thanks' before it vanished - here is a pic of a hedgehog [no, its not me holding it,just one off the web that i had to load to thoughts photos to put in here]

so here is the puzzle - how on earth did the wedgewog get in my garden???
it is fairly high fenced solidly all round, no holes anywhere - nothing, so, unless it got in the garden by being caught and dropped by a sparrowhawk or something - or, perhaps it climbed up the high fence - although how i dont know and as far as i am aware, they dont climb
so, i have a mystery on my hands and, my dog really enjoyed her first ever meeting of this spikey, cute lil creature!
