Feeling 'helpless?'
Have only, half an hour ago found out, that our friend, J round the corner from us passed over yesterday morn. His wife V, whom came round to tell me, is in the uptight state as you normally are when this happens - We hugged and talked for awhile and, aye, at least J is out of pain [ he has been in and out of hospital and been in terrible pain ]
As said, she left half an hour ago, she as you can imagine now has much to do before she even has time to 'grieve' soft igh.
But you know when you feel helpless and words and hugs seem so little? She, as others in my are, know they can call upon me whenever and for whatever reason, so she knows and I told her, if there was anything I could do, to let me know.
Guess am still a lil shocked, J was a lovely man and friend, it will be strange not to see him anymore and its shook me up, but then again, he is now not suffering.
Silly perhaps, but just came on here to blog it down and now going off the get a drink, please understand, I'll answer'catch up with everything I can later here, I am just kinda sad and dazed by the news and need a moment to 'settle'

He is not 'gone' of course, just stepped across the threshold betwen the worlds and Im sure he knows the love and sense of loss he leaves behind.

sorry about your news.
i may be limited but that 'helplessness' feeling is just a fundamental truth of life, isn't it. i mean, in the end, we are completely separate creatures. i can't put my head inside yours and know what you are feeling.
that's why making the effort - a touch or a word - is the best we can do...

I am okay now, did some calls for her, then occupied my mind with some chores, uplaoded some stuff on here - all helped, was a tad shell shocked, as the day had been such a good one until hearing of her loss..soft smile
