It didnt make me feel like anything.I dont know what a job market is. I dont think some teachers have high expectattions for me. I dont think my teachers treat me different but people on the street treat me differnt.-Frazier

Hi Ms.Rembert!! Well the article really made me feel angry. It made me angry because how can people tell if we are smart or not?! What makes them think that they can make up opinions like saying we are not smart or competitve. I really felt outraged about that article. It made me feel like marching over there and giving them a peice of my mind!! I may not think i am not that smart but i try really hard. My teachers encourage me to do the right things and so do my parents. I would like to be a computer programmer and i know i will get that job. As long as i keep doing my best then i think i will be just fine. As long as i do my best.

Well i feel that just because we are a focus school doesn't mean that students can't pull through and make it to the competion that we have with other people in the world or state. I know that americans are mostly known for sports and social activities but people can make other things too . i feel that the article was very rude and discriminating a race before knowing what each individual can do. Just because a certain race has high levels of geting good jobs , doesn't mean that other races or cultures can't pull it up.

when i went on the web site i felt like i was one of those kids because some teachers treat me like im a rasies or somthing. people like me for who i am not of my rasie. i really like to have friends because without friends its no fun. i do feel like teachers talk behind my back. my education is more inportant to me than people calling me rasies. it makes me feel like im no important to anyone. i really want to pass the 8th grade. i want to have a successful life. bye mrs. rembert

I didn't like the article because it made us feel like because we were colored or a different ethnic we are dumb. What im doing is staying on point and im not going to let anybody try to beat me out of a job because they can speak two languages or because they work in a different manner. All teachers have expectations but yes i do think they have high expectations for us, because they kno what we are capable of.

well i feel that alot & most of my teachers have very high expections for me. How i feel about the movie in your master class is that you shouldnt jugde a person just because of their learning skills kids are suppose to have a life not study all the time. Its ok to have tourting outside of school for a couple of hours but its also important that you are active in sports or some type of hobby. You have to keep your body in shape. You can die from having an unhealty body you can't die from beening not all that smart. Kids over in china & places like that don't have no type of life.!
what child do you know spends thier whole life studing.
so boring.!

I enjoyed the discussion actually. All though i did feel a little racisim in the discussion about what they think. I mean not all white, Indian, chinese, japenese, and ect. are smart. Black americans are very smart. Also, black african amercicans have served our country well by inventing, teaching, and ect. It Made me feel even proud to be a black african american. I mean i'm srart Athletic I make striaght A's. I want to prove to them that not al black people nor all americans are "dumb". I believe that all my teachers have high expectations for me. They all ways tell me i am a great leader and a very smart, intellegent, and caring yound adult. I don't think any teachers me different at least not this year. I am glad you brought this to our attention Ms. Rembert to me it's very important.

I dont think its right for them to say that american students will not be able to find a job when they graduate.Its not fair to judge us because of other peoples action.I learn in a sertent way diffrent from other kids.Iknow the indians have some kids like this.Dont get me wrong i never said im perfect but dont judge me bacause how others act.I can do anything if i put my mind to it.Some times i do think other teachers treat me diffrent from other students im not goin to say there name because im not that mean.Yes i do think some teachers have hi exspectation for me.Ms.hackney has hi ecspectation for all her students but if u act up and dont care about what shes sayin she wont waste her time tryin to get u focused.one more thing u have to be competetive when u want ur job because if ur not they will walk all over u.

Thats just how it is in this country in india there are different motives that push them if u ask all the boys in this class wat they want to do wen they grow up 90% of them will say that they want to go to the NFL or NBA in idia and china they dont have those option there they say i want to be an enginer or a biologist cuz they dont have those leagues in there countrys even if they live here in the U.S. i cant think of 1 asian guy in the NFL so thats discouraging to them if there were not leagues here that pay 5 million a month to play a game that people play for fun then u would have more people that care about school then GETTING TO THE BIG LEAGUES thats wat matters to people in this country not very many will say that they want to be scientist wen they grow up and wen more kids want to be biologist insted of going to the NFL then america could be 1 of the top countrys in the world

I THINK THAT THAT IS REALLY MESSED UP IN HOW THE SCHOOLS ARE TREATED DIFRNTLY AND THEY ARE ALL NOT TREATED THE SAME . NOT ALL STUDENTS ARE NOT ALL THE SAME SOME STUDENTS MAY NOT STUDY BUT OTHERS DO . THEY EVEN GO TO TUTORING EVERY DAY JUST TO GET A GOOD EDUCATION . EVERYONE HAS TO HAVE THEIR OWN GOALS NO ONE CAN BE THE SAME . LIKE INDIA,CHINA AND ALL THE OTHER FOREN COUNTRYS WANT TO BE GREAT BUSSINESS MEN , OWNERS OF RICH BANKS ETC. MOST AMERICANS WANT TO BECOME A FAMOUS ACTER OR FOOTBALL PLAYER. 90% OF THE CLASS WOULD SAY THAT THEY WOULD LOVE TO BECOME FOMOUSE .

good afternoon ms.rembert, I was saying on that message i sent on friday that we should not care about the way people think on how we study. If amaricans want to sit on the couch watch tv while they are studing then let them. If the asians want to study all day them let them. If the indeans want to wake up at 5:00 am in the morning just to study then let them. It don't matter what you do to study if you get good grades even though ou watch t.v. while your studing then you should keep studing like and thats all i got for today BYE.-Cameron

alot of teachers treat me so differnet from other sudents and i can't take it anymore. it is so annoying to me because more students get more attention than me. the are so called adult, but when they act like that there selfish in rude. i'm the most friendlyiest person someone can ever know. if they want to act all stank, i will still show respect tham and act mature.

Dear Ms. Rembert,
I don't appreciate the way they judge us and try to make us what they say we are. I honestly feel meloncholy and upset about the comments they posted on the page we read the other day. And I dislike the way they praise other races and put us down, just becuase of our skin color, and the way others act in our race, but not all of us act the same way. I'm disturbed by what most other people say about me and others of the same or diffrent race.

Sorry you didn't get our messages friday. I said that i don't appreciate that people think that chinese people are smarter than Americans.Maybe they need to take a good loooook at themselver before they talk about others. People be gettin on my nerves when thry talk about people and they didn't look at theirselves in the mirror. Mrs Rembert what do have to say about this?
