| If hit by an uninsured motorist... |
If you are ever in an accident with an uninsured motorist and have either a personal injury or more than $400.00 in damage.
Fill out a Crash Report 3303 from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
Ask your insurance company if they will do it or if you have to. You can download the form from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles website www.ohiobmv.com - search for form 3303.
Or use this link bmv.ohio.gov/pdf_forms/bmv3303.pdf
click on BMV 3303 - Crash report and print out, fill out and mail to address on bottom of report.
This will help keep the uninsured party responsible for damages, the stakes are higher with this form since Ohio will suspend a license for 2 years until shown damages or arrangements have been made.
It's tough enough to afford insurance on your car and to keep it in good condition with maintenance, but to get hit by someone without insurance and having to pay everything yourself.
Stand up for what is fair and yours, make the other party responsible and make them pay for what they did.
