You go and good for you! The world can definitely use less nasty anything as far as I'm concerned.

For the record, I read the poem and I enjoyed it. I may not have a degree in literature or care about poetry style or how many words were used, I just enjoy reading poetry for how it makes me feel, and as far as I'm concerned, that will always be the most important thing.

Keep dreaming and posting about ideas, don't let someone's ugly words stop you from doing what you enjoy!

Lostlamb, thank you for your comment. I so agree! What is the point of bashing someone else's post? Who are we, and what right do we have? Are we the Post Police? No one is forcing us to read something we don't like. If someone is, then take it out on the person forcing them to read it, not the person writing it. Last I heard it's a free country! Keepdreaming -- I wondered what happened to you. I'm so sorry it's the words of a meanie that brought you back to us. There will always be someone who doesn't like what we say or post. Unfortunately, when we post in a public forum we open ourselves up to both good and bad comments. I try very hard never to give anyone enough power, over me, to ruin my day.

I guess I look at the comment section as being separate from my post. It's like if I stayed at a resort hotel I can control what happens in my room, but not in the public areas of the hotel. While much goes on in a hotel lobby or public area, I don't have to invite these individuals up to my room for tea and crumpets. There have been times when the comment section, of one of my posts, has taken on a life of it's own. Perhaps this separation (of posts and comments) is the reason I rarely engage others or write comments on my own posts. If someone has a question or I feel a response is needed I correspond via private email.

Last month I was blessed to meet and get to know (in person) thoughts staff and a group of individuals who write here. In my entire life I have never experienced or received such kindness, acceptance and love. My grandmother always said ... "a few bad apples don't spoil the whole bunch." What a beautiful experience I would have missed if I ran away from this place of thoughts, because of the insensitivity of a few individuals. Wishing you a day blessed with peace and love from above.

Sure hope it wasn't me;/ I seem to have an "ugly" streak here and have been more of a Grumpy Bear than anything to so many very sensitive people. I like to think my comments are honest and constructive. I don't go out of my way to be mean or hateful unless I was angry about something. I suppose we can bite our tongues when we want to breathe flame at someone...but then where do we dispose of those flames? How do we let the fire go out without expressing it? And, who wants to deal with that if it's not directed at them? Do I want to hear from someone how another someone did a terrible thing that made them so angry? What can I do about it if I know nothing or can't really do anything about the anger it caused other than take that person away from the anger with a more pleasant diversion?

Take it all in stride.

Think about it...:P That's how I would end my comments a lil over a year ago.
