Some people have so much hatred in their hearts that they have to make mean and nasty comments on other people's posts. WHY? What is the point? Does it make them feel better as a person?
There was a jerk who recently left a rude and mean comment on one of my posts, called "It's a vital thing"...go read it...it's the last comment, I responded back to it. He was rude and there was absolutely no reason for it. I have never even heard of the guy before. I hope people like that sleep better at night.
By the way...I love your DREAMPOWER picture! it's awesome!!!

Thanks for stopping by and reading my post. You are definately within your rights to critisize this poem, althought you are writing to the wrong person. The Author of this poem is Grenville Kleiser, and it was taken from a PUBLISHED book of poetry called "Lines to Live By". I have read many of his poems and some are quite beautiful. Now unless you are a renown publisher of poetry, I hardly think your opinion holds water to most poets.

Oh I know what you mean about your sparkly puppy. I have a little yorkie named Smokey. You have to go ready my blog, about the time he stole my panties while I was in the shower and ran out the house and down the street as fast as his little yorkie ass could carry him. OH...THE HUMILIATION was unbearable!! When I FINAALY got the little stink pot back into the house, he looked at me all cute like...WHAT??? YOU DIDN'T NEED THOSE DID YOU?

Hi Dream power...
I would "like" to say Honesty is the best policy. In a perfect world it would be, and I definately encourage it with my kids. But here amoung us, I have to admit (if I'm honest) sometimes honesty does not serve any purpose and only hurts people. Example: When my daughter was in kindergarden she had this HORRIBLE teacher... This woman constantly would mark big bad check marks on her answers she got wrong. NEVER would she ever write anything encouraging on her papers. She'd only write things like... "This is AWFUL work...I want to see improvement!!!" It was not awful work, she was an aweful teacher. Parents complained constantly about her, as did I. My Son on the other hand who was had a great teacher would bring home his graded work, with wonderful notes written on them, even when he had the same grades on his work. His papers would read..."Needs a little help on problems #4 and #7, but is showing great improvement on all other work...keep up the good work!" So he'd bring his work to me to look over and I'd read it. Then my little kindergardener would come up to me with her big smiley face and say "Look Mommy, my Teacher wrote me a note too, what does mine say?" As she's standing there with her great big blue eyes. Now is HONESTY the best policy HERE???? I DON'T think so!!! I just said..."Well it says, you need help on (what ever problems she got wrong), but you did a great job on everything else. She'd get a big smile and give me a hug and run off to play. So for MOST cases Honesty is the best policy, but not in ALL cases.

Fancie, How wonderful, and CONGRATULATIONS on becoming Catholic!! I am so glad you stuck with it and fulfilled that dream. How wonderful that must feel for you to follow in God's footsteps. :)
If you still aspire to become a writer, I would ask the Lord to help you regroup all your talent and thoughts and give it another try. Following your dreams isn't always a bike ride down hill. :) A lot of times the pedaling will be tough and exhausting, but the rewards will be great in the end. I was telling my daughter tonight, (She has an INCREDIBLE gift for art, her work has been chosen from her school and displayed in several art shows.)that she needs to nourish this gift (besides she LOVES art) because God gave her this talent, and we must not waste the gifts God give us. So
I urge you, if it's your soulds desire to write, try again...and again and again. Don't give up because of a few disappointments, they will make you stronger. Good Luck!!!

i beleive you completely understand what you need in your life. You were right in something you said. Everyting you said to Beast was 100% true, if he can't take the truth, there is a big problem, and you must not take on a relationship with someone who is not able to handle the truth, otherwise you will be covering up the true, and walking on ice the entire time you are with this man. NOT A GOOD THING! If a man truely loves you, and wants a healthy relationship, they will want to know where they need to work on their weaknesses. We all have weaknesses, but the "real catches" are those that want to work on them, and turn them into strengths. Like I said...Follow you heart. It won't fail you.

Well it sounds like Beastie is not doing so great these days. I know what you mean. Boy when I was dating, after I got my heart broken very bad, after that, anyone I dated, if they started pissing me off, it was like a light switch, I just turned it off, and the feeligns were gone, I could help it. I couldn't get them back for nothing. It wasn't like I tried to do it, it was more like I had this wall built up, and I tried so hard to love again, but once they did something that would annoy me or start turning me off, boom, the lights went off, and I had to move on. They would promise to do better, and not take me for granted, blah, blah, blah,...but it was too late, the feelings were gone. So I really can relate to your feeling. But when the right one does come along...you will know it. Who knows, it may be MC!! :)

It's wonderful to hear from you. I am reading a book written by Sue Patton Theole. It's absolutely wonderful! I had to share a bit of what she touched on, because it was so true. I do believe so many of us push our dreams aside because we did not think they were realistic due to a negative response we got as a child. Well it's high time we reclaim those dreams, because I don't think it is ever too late. God put us here as individuals, and our dreams are part of what makes us unique. So it's time we stop letting others take away our soul's individuality.

Thank You so much PCM, I need to read things like that myself. I, like everyone else get discouraged and need to remind myself that God is here to be our support system in every way. When things are going great in my life I always Thank God for that, and know it's because of his great grace and love. When things take a turn in the other direction, and things fall apart and I don't know how to handle the next problem that falls in my lap, I take a deep breath, and try to remember God has a plan, and there is a reason for this. I ask God to give me the strength to ride it out and to help me make the right choices. I trust that he knows what is best. Before long, it is part of my past, and the sun is shining again. It's a belief in him I could not live here on this earth without.

Colorado, I'm very sorry to hear about your Uncle K, although you said you weren't very close to him, the death of any family member, close or not, does bring on great saddness. I have felt the way you have before too, I mean feeling emotionless for long periods of time. Months without crying or even finding things very funny, then all of a sudden it's like the water park opens up. I don't know exactly why that is. I do believe it's horemone related though. At least that is what my doctor told me after I went to see if it was my thyroid. It concerned me as well.
I'm glad you opened up and shared part of your life with us, and your feelings. You are such a wonderful Lady, and you deserve soooo much love to come your way. I am praying for you to "feel" the sunshine again!!

I believe dreams are there to tell us something. Your dream was possibly telling you that it is pssible for you to have that sense of freedom and warmth in your real life. I do know what you mean though. I have had dreams that I have never wanted to wake up from. Everything is peaceful, no problems, no panic, no feelings of longing for something that will never be. Just tranquility and love. I can totally relate to your dreams. But I believe God never closes one door without opening another, you have look for those open doors. Watch for those dream to come true. :)

What a wonderful way to start a day!! We recently received some bad news, and each day since then, I wake up with, what seems to be this heavy cloud hanging over my head, I can't seem to crawl out from under it. I keep thinking "Now What?" It doesn't seem real to me yet, so I'm not ready to talk about it. But I have always been such a faithful person, and right now, I'm having a difficult time keeping that faith in the for front of my mind. It tends to drift, and my day takes that awful punch to the stomach out of no where that leaves me sick. I need to remember God not only forgives, but also guides our lives, and when he closes one door, he always opens another. Thank you my deaar friend, for reminding me to look ahead, and not dwell on what is behind us. I luv U!!

Those are some great words to remember. My daughter sees a therapist for her OCD, and what she was told to do to help her get over her obsticals, was to repeat things outloud to herself... like in your case, to say outloud..."I AM special, I don't need anyone to make me special." I know that may sound strange, but what it does is, it trains your mind to believe that. It's an OCD trick. Just like if someone tells you something over and over, you HEAR it, and eventually believe it. Well if you say it in your mind, your brain never hears it. Your ears have to hear it first, then your brain will hear it. If you say it enough times, your brain will begin to believe it. It really does work.
It has really helped my daughter get past some terrifing fears.
No one deserves to suffer the way that you have. I am so sorry for what you have been put through, but I am soooo proud of you for fighting your way out of it.
I will pray very hard for you and a happy and successful road ahead.

Hollis I just spotted this post, I somehow missed this one.
I listened to the news tonight, and just turned it off after hearing all the hateful things people do to eachother. How can so many people do so many awful things to one another?? Then I turn to your blog and read the most loving and beautiful kind words, and Thank God that there are people like you that are able to reach out and touch so many hearts through this site. It renews my faith in goodness.
Everywhere I go, I try to help people out, especially the elderly if I see they need it. I sware at times I can see the eyes of Jesus in them when you look into there eyes. They are such special people. They have lived here on this earth such a long time, and we have no idea what kind of hardships they have been through, so I always try to offer help and a smile to them.

I'm sitting here reading your post, feeling my shoulders ache and wanting some of what you had. I've had some hot rock massages before, and I know exactly what you are saying...I can't talk afterwards, it's like my jaw is numb. I'm so relaxed I feel like I can hardly walk straight. Some people have no clue to the suffering they cause. It is so sad your mother has caused so much pain and heartache for you and your brother. Some how it sounds like your brother is able to over look a lot of it, while it has cut you too deeply to make any kinds of amends with her. I pray that you will find your peace with the situation, so you won't feel the anger. That anger is hurting you, and Sweetie you've been hurt enough, and this has gone on long enough...don't let her hurt you anymore. Don't give her the power to hurt you. You are in control now. She has no control over you any more. I will pray that God helps take your anger away, so you can have peace. You need some peace!
