I was reading Pride and Prejudice just now, alone in the living room, and I looked up around me too fast; the slivers of plastic in my eyes, correcting my vision and terrible astigmatism, spun around to quickly. The fake exotic plants seemed to shiver, the stockings above the mantle swayed, as if the walls of this house were permeable by the breeze outside. I felt I had come upon a twilight hour, when I couldn't tell if it was day or night. The dead silence proclaimed one, but the happy sunlight jingle of an outside windchime professed the other. With the blinds drawn on every window, I could have tricked myself into believing it was noon. Delighted by a twist of sensation as I always am, I put aside my book to hop on the computer and tap out a description of it. Yet, the mechanical hum of my trusty PC, usually so charming to me, quickly stifled the magical feeling. Then, a sleepy mother of mine with red squinty eyes slipped out of bed to grab some medicone, and her sleepy boyfriend slipped outside to close the top of our grill. Seems like evryone thinks it's daytime. I guess I should abandon this venture; I've lost it anyhow. I'll return to my sleepy someone, lounging backwards in my bed, before he gets up to look for me.
Oh shucks.
