| Two weeks and still cooking!

Hi all!
Notice I did not say "y'all", for all of you who have been giving me a hard time ? Ah, hot dry Texas; what can I say? Really, the last week has not been bad the locals tell me; here 90 is a nice, cool, summer day. I hear up north everyone is dealing with humidity. What a concept! So glad to hear the rain is falling. I've learned that it is either hot and dry or 85 with 100% humidity. There is no "cool" day. We go swimming often and have learned to love the sound of the air conditioner turning on. Hadley has started swimming lessons at the YMCA. I work out three days a week there, but they don't use air conditioning there, so it takes a little inspiration to keep me going. I have lost 7 pounds since the middle of May when we found out I was allergic to most things I ate on a regular basis. That is my inspiration, trust me!! We have extras this week. One of the other Barnhart guys needed a sitter for his kids this week, and I volunteered or was volunteered or something! The boys are enjoying having playmates. We found a great church here. It is Baptist, but it's an independent one, so it's not the shout and sing and dance in the aisles Southern Baptist I always heard about. They have a number of activities each week, so it gives us something on Wednesdays and Sundays. I love it there and Stephen really enjoys it too. Hadley and Hudson are in Gopher club on Wednesdays there and Hayden is in the Olympians club. Hudson is so excited that he's now potty trained and he can go to his brother's class!! Me too! I am coming to love the fresh tortillas I get here and the fresh fruit. It will take some adjusting when we go back up north. At this point we are still hearing upstate New York, but we don't know when or even if that is for certain where we are going. For now I am enjoying the fact that I am relatively unpacked and am refusing to think about having to pack any time soon! I had better wrap things up for the afternoon. I am trying to update every week or two. Please keep in touch. I love to hear from everyone, no matter whether it's email or phone. I have even more respect (and I had a lot before) for our soliders over seas. Being away from friends and family can get lonely right quick, so much that even a quick hello can make a day complete. Have a beautiful day!!!!
