It has been so long since I've written anything. I'm not sure if anyone will even read this. :) We are still in SD with a little over 2 weeks until we move back to Texas. It is raining here and by raining I mean POURING!!! We have not seen this much rain here in all 7 years we lived on the ranch... maybe that was the problem? ;) Water is running in places we didn't know it could. God is pouring down the blessings on us; no pun intended. The boys are having a great time out here running around the ranch. We did have our first "casualty" on Sunday. Hadley got to go the ER for stitches. He was climbing a panel in the corral, slippped and fell backwards about 8 feet onto a 4 inch piece of steel. He was a trooper though, especially since he's our screamer. We all figured he would be a terror in the ER, but thankfully not. It went well and only 6 stitches. He's the ringbearer for MaKaela's wedding in 2 weeks 2 days, so they shaved his head as little as possible, but he still has a minor bald spot. He told the nurses that he wasn't a ringbearer; he was the guy who walked Shilo (the flower girl) down the aisle. Hayden is still doing school. We are catching up since he has had such a slow year with all of his reading problems. He gets a month of in July and a few weeks in September, for those of you who are afraid he won't get a break. He has been his papa's right hand man these last few weeks. He has really enjoyed getting to go along and help. Hudson is finally potty-trained!! I thought it would never happen; don't we all? He is so outgoing now and always has a vivid story to tell. I can't believe my baby is no longer a baby. Stephen is quite settled in Texas. The house was furnished last weekend. We even have leather furniture now; did I mention I love my husband's company?!! :) He is ready to come get us. This has been quite tough on him. We at least have had family support up here. He's been pretty much on his own down there. Well, I guess that's it for now. Thank you to everyone who has helped us over the last few weeks, whether in prayer or other ways. Everything is much appreciated. God bless you all!!! |
