Hi all,
I write this blog on a bittersweet note. We lost Stephen's grandpa today. Our loss is Christ's gain, but painful all the same. It was quite unexpected and has left us grasping for the "why's?" of the situation. We have just traveled 1300 miles and had done everything financially "proper" for having two weeks off only to find that we should have prepared just a little more. We are both spending a lot of time praying right now. He is hoping that work will grant him his six week break two in a row and fly him to Wyoming, but we don't know if this is possible. Just say a huge prayer for my husband. His grandpa was his earthly idol and his heart is just shattered right now. So that's the bitter. The sweet is that we are in New York at our campground and minus the fact that the internet is unrealistically slow and cell phone reception is only good if you stand on our picnic table this place is fantastic! I went to a roadside garden stand today and got some fantastic produce. We plan on having some tonight :) The campground is beautiful. Everything you hear about the New England countryside is true. I will upload some pictures just as soon as I get this silly laptop figured out. We are just edging into fall right now and it is beautiful here. We are within 3 miles of a little village, 5 from another and 20 minutes from Warsaw which has Wal-mart and a YMCA. The people who own this campground are great and have been a lot of help getting us settled. The boys are anticipating the arrival of Yogi, Boo-boo and Cindy Bear this weekend. We haven't told them they also get to grow magic pumpkins Friday night and trick-or-treat on Saturday. That, plus the insane amounts of sugar they'll come in contact with ought to make for some longggggg nights! :) I hope all is well with each of you reading this. I think I've finally got everyone notifiied of my blog. It isn't much for those of you reading this for the first time, but if you want to know what we're up to, this is the easiest way to find out. Oh, and on the reading news front we had a spectacular moment with Hayden yesterday. In Springville, NY there is a small NASCAR museum. I mentioned this fact to Stephen, but spelled out the letters. A moment went by and Hayden says, "There's a NASCAR museum?!" I was so proud of him! Have a great day!
