INSIDE PATTAYA IN PICTURES.

Pattaya has been called 'Sin City' by the Press. Why? Because it caters for virtually everything that's naughty........Men (and some Women) come here to indulge their wildest desires. And Thais from all over the Nation come in droves to provide it. Pattaya is not typical of Thailand. It's a City of visitors. Mostly Men looking for 'a good time' and it can be had by all. Of that one can be sure. Although it puts millions of Baht every year into Thailand’s coffers, the Government is far from proud of it. They have made Prostitution, Gambling and selling Alcohol all night long against the Law. But this is a Lawless Town and such restrictions are largely ignored by everyone. Including the Police! No-one wants to kill 'The Goose....'Personally, I love the place. I live here in happy retirement from that dreary place called England, where I was almost bored to death! Here I am never bored. Scared maybe, it is a dangerous place, but bored.....no sir. Inside Pattaya is my humble attempt at a pictorial portrait of this vibrant, busy, polluted, sexy, rapidly growing City, and a few shots of the characters living, working and visiting her.........

A very short history.....
Originally a humble Fishing Village called Pad Tha Ya, which means -
'The Wind blows from SW to NE during the Rainy Season'. It was transformed in the 50s when War weary American troops were brought over
in droves 'to rest'. The presence of so many Men with pockets full of lovely Dollars, soon attracted hundreds of poor, but lovely maidens from all over the Country. Those sex hungry soldiers must surely have thought they'd died and gone to Heaven! Most were to return to battle, far from refreshed, and ready for the fight against Communism......

In 1979 Pad Tha Ya became the City we now call Pattaya.
The largest beach resort in Thailand, with around 4million visitors a year, it's reputation for Sun, Sea and Sex has spread around the World.
Although the Municipality denies it, the majority come for the latter.
Men from virtually every country in pour in to drink cheap liquor in the many Bars, and to enjoy the lovely ladies of this Land of Smiles.
