my favorite was lesson 5 because we got to see how the songs we listen to are poetry. my least favorite was lesson 6 because its hard for me to pick out a theme of poetry.

The poem is comparing a ship and the captian to America. The captian is Lincoln and the ship is the American public. It is a narrative poem because it is telling the story of Lincoln's guidence throughout the Civil War and the reconstruction of the south.

The poem and pictures made the holocaust more of a reality. We know the holocaust happened but its different to see what has happened. the pictures stressed how bad it was
