Okay. Here's my thought:
Why is it that people only make a big deal about photos from Disney Channel and Nickelodeon stars?
Here's the thing - Disney Channel is constantly using the term "Disney Channel stars are just like you!" So why is it that when one of their stars do something that's completely normal, they get criticised(sp?) and embarassed publicly by having their pictures put in the media?
I don't understand how you can expect these teenagers to be perfect role-models for these 5, 6, 7-year olds? That's not right! I say these teens are pushed too hard to be absolutely angelic. In Miley's words - "Everybody makes mistakes!" And yeah, everybody knows what I'm talking about. People need to give these people a break! These stars have shows because they have talent - not because they're supposed to be perfect role-models. Not like I have any idea what their contracts say, but I highly doubt that any of these stars had to sign a contract saying they were going to be good role-models.
So here's a message I think it would be worth-while for the media, and probably everybody else to see: When you report on a star, report on their talent. These pictures that are leaked on the internet aren't "scandelous" pictures - no. Actually, they're quite normal. If parents have a problem with the all of these "scandels," just don't let them see these pictures, or watch the videos that include them! The stars aren't bad people for any "scandelous" photos or videos they may take, and they shouldn't have to appologize for taking them! God forbid you let them have a life! No matter what the reason for doing what they did, they did it because they're HUMAN. No matter what the reason for doing what they did, they did it because they're HUMAN. One more time:: No matter what the reason for doing what they did, they did it because they're HUMAN. And more than that, they're teenagers! Give them a break! Live and let live. Stay out of their buisness. Sure, those "scandels" might make them look bad, but what's it doing for the news when they make people look bad? I mean, the media's rep already sucks - we blame them for girl's self-esteem problems, and giving people an unrealistic view on beauty already! Why not just add "ruining people's good names for completely normal behavior" to the list? (:
Every girl who has a racey(sp?) picture isn't put in the media saying they're a bad person for taking the picture. What's so different about the Disney & Nickelodeon stars? They make money by working, they breathe the same air, live on the same Earth... they have a life just like everybody else. Let them live it without the constant pressure to be the better person. Let them make mistakes too!
And this doesn't just go for Disney & Nick. Give Brittany a break. Give... Jamie Lynn a break. Give Chris Crocker a break! Give any person who's been famed by the media a break. All the haters, give-it-a-rest. (: Really. Just shut up already. Their career doesn't end because you hate them. And for the media and everyone else - give them a break. The stars are NOT bad people. (: They just made a mistake.
That's all I have to say. (:
