My weekend was a 8.5 out of 10, which is pretty damn skippy. On Friday night I met up with my college roommate Julie at Tavern on the Tracks ~ she was celebrating her birthday in style with shots of tequila and cigarettes. Only too soon was she completely inebriated and I found myself on a trek with her throughout the bar to find some male attention.
You see, I think men buying women drinks is such a hassle. Some women care only about the drink - like the objective is to prove that you can "get" that drink. Some women are searching for conversation with a nice looking guy, and the drink is an added bonus. Me? I feel like if some guy buys me a drink then time (or something else, depending on the guy) is owed in reciprication. Shit, I like getting free drinks as much as the next person but I don't know if I want to talk to you for the next thirty minutes, and if I don't stay then I feel guilty - to much to worry about, I'll buy my own, thank you very much. Julie was definetly in the "lets-see-how-many-shots we-can-get mode" which only works if your 21 and you got EVERYTHING hanging out.
Saturday night I went out with my Melanie to the Breakfast Club. It was fabulous, we danced like rock stars all night long. Damn, I didn't realize I was in such good shape, I'm still waiting for my legs to start hurting. It was cathartic in so many ways, yet I still find myself thinking about J. That damn man. I even stooped low enough to write him an email this morning - I know, I'm a loser. I miss him though.
Anyway, so when Melanie drives me back to my place I proceed to take out a powerful weapon - my cellphone - and drunk dial almost everyone I know. The upside of that is I have two dates next weekend :)P Sunday night, my crazy older neighbors stumble to my place with a vat of strawberry moonshine.............yeah, guess how I feel this morning? hahahaha, later
