Hi......As this is the first post to this blog I thought that I would introduce myself, my name is Kate and I live in Salem Mass. I am 19 years old and I am also a witch. This blog will not be strictly about witchcraft but it will also be about life in one of the most incredible towns in this country.  What I hope to do with this blog is to at times, explain what witchcraft is about in down to earth and understandable terms. There is nothing spooky or evil about the religion that i chose to follow, quite the opposite is true. Witches celebrate the beauty of the earth  and simply try to live in harmony with it. We believe that the closer you get to nature, the closer you get to god.  I dont know if any of you have ever been to my home town, Salem, but it is an amazing place and as we get closer to the month of October, life here gets even more exciting. Halloween or Samhain as we witches call it, in Salem is not like halloween in most places, the entire month of October is spent celebrating just one night. When we get closer to Haloween, I will explain what goes on in this town and then you may understand what makes Salem an exciting place to live.
