Economy Has Put on the Brakes and Now is in Revers
Bailout after bailout and according to President Obama everything is going fine. However, if you say you are losing your home it is your fault, and not President Barack Obama. If it is reported that there is a twenty five year high unemployment, just ignore it. President Obama said the economy is on its way back from the brink, and “you ain't seen nothing yet".

Just trust the President and ignore the everything else, it is not what you are experiencing right now that is important, it is what the President says. If the President says that the economy is back from the brink, then it is back from the brink.

Just keep repeating what he says and everything will be alright. When they come for your house tell them you are going to call the President. For the President said, the economy is coming back from the brink. When they come for your car tell them that you are going to report them to the President, because the economy is coming back from the brink.

Question: Where in the world has all of the billions of dollars that were supposed to stimulate the economy gone? Well, if you can’t see it, then maybe you need glasses because the President said, “the economy is coming back from the brink.”

I know that God can and did speak the world into existence. Now are we to believe that just because President Barack Obama spoke it that the economy is now back from the brink? The President spoke and it was so. There is only one God, and when God is left out the equation and not given the glory and honor, then without him, we can do nothing.

The idea that stopping abortion and same sex marriage will not make the economy better is to leave God out of the plan, and is a sure recipe for disaster.

The news media have stopped investing claims that are being made by this administration. Whatever that comes out of the white house is automatically accepted by the media as being true, or not reported at all.

Unemployment rate, United States rose from 8.5 to 8.9 percent: The number of unemployed persons increased by 563,000 to 13.7 million in April, and the unemployment rate rose to 8.9 percent.

76 million baby boomers and social security: The Government Accountability Office (GAO) found that staffing in Social Security field offices dropped 4.4 percent from 2005 to 2008. Field office managers and staff told GAO that they cannot keep up with their work. The trustees stated that the Social Security trust fund will run out by 2037, four years earlier than last year’s report had predicted, while the Medicare hospital trust fund will be insolvent by 2017, two years earlier than projected last year.

The next step for our county may be to outsource management to China.

Do you think that our economy has stepped back from the brink?

Another good post. As a senior in a major grounded in the ag-econ department I can only tell you I don't understand what he's trying to do. There is no way to make an economy recover as a whole by creating public sector jobs and more or less ignoring the public sector. It has been said that Bush's tax cuts didn't work, but if you look at the GDP within months of Bush taking office we were in a minor recession. His administration (or more accurately the Republican controlled legislative branch) cut taxes, the economy recovered and the GDP remained robust until July of 2008. I find this ironic as July 2008 is when hard-core campaigning for both parties truly began. What we need right now is tax cuts. Our small and large business owners alike need to have incentive to hire new labor. Small and large business alike should be allowed to fail and either rise out of the ashes a stronger company or disappear only to allow a new business to be created. Good post. The only part I disagree with you on is who's responsible for all this. I feel like Obama should shoulder some blame, but most should rest with the Senate and Congress.

Whatever happened to the idea of making a product that people want for exchange for goods or income?

Without domestic products produced here in the U.S. there is only one direction to go. And it is not up!
