Yes, poetry allows us to submit our deepest feelings and desires in words. It shapes our thoughts as a trail that leads to our hearts. Like Mulan said, "My duty is to my heart."
With poetry, that couldn't be more true. Poems are like magical stones we can skip across, used to convey feelings of utmost importance. We should always take into consideration others emotions, not just our own. With that ignorance aside, it becomes easier to let others inside. To betray the soul is the mind's weakest point. To betray the mind is the heart's ultimate goal. They can not all be balanced as one for any one person. There has to be some sort of disarray. Poetry helps me to escape this world with it's endless problems, and seek a new place where I can play and stay all day long. Gemini tendencies are spelled out in this post very accurately...you can tell I am one. You see how the subjects jump from one thing to the next with rapidity? Just another Gemini trait. Those of you who share my astrological sign know that it's hard for us to sleep at night, for it takes awhile to calm our busy minds...two twin souls that share a body...one reckless, unashamed, and hardheaded, the other cautious, ashamed and open to new ideas. Together, they create balance...(this is so good, I'll put it in my blog) I think I'll start this thread as a thesis on poetry, and it's importance in all of our lives...
