| Poetry From The Heart(Or what's left of it) |
Having had my heart broken before, I attempt to recreate the pieces. This is dedicated to my new love, one I pray doesn't go away.
Join me in this battle of love
As I fall backwards metaphorically
My space has all turned red
But there's nothing holding me back
Loving you has made me richer
Not in money, but in spirit
Patiently waiting for that day
When we can be together forever
Not knowing if the time is right
For our beautiful church wedding
Still waiting on you for eternity
Don't leave me at the altar alone
For I will never give up on us
Even when your family doesn't like me
Despite all of the rules that say it's wrong
I will continue to love you
You're in my blood now
There's no turning back
Can't give up this fight
Without you, how will I breathe
Traveling alone, I remember our walks
Feeling grown, I recall our talks
Making time for both the imagined and real
Reflecting on the fact that you made my heart heal
(Well that was my take on poetry for now, I've found it nice to freestyle recently, with a little bit of added rhyming.)
