 Revnge of a Checkout Chick

I used to work in a supermarket while I was at uni. I packed groceries for the public for over 6 years. I used to hate some customers. There are some people who, when they dain to venture out into society they just do NOT mix well with the rest of us (cos we’re the normal ones :). They treat the people serving them like they’re lower than pond scum.

These are the people who always look like they had somewhere better to be 5 minutes ago. They bitch and moan that the particular fabric softener they like to use was out of stock, when really they should just be greatful that they actually have some fabric to soften and that they can afford the product that does so.  Poor pathetic creatures...

I used to execute my own personal but silent revenge on these moronic people when I served them: I’d pack their fresh food with their cleaning chemicals, or I’d go really slow, or if they really ticked me off, I’d mash my thumbs into their loaf of fresh bread. I used to smirk to myself about how they would unsuspectingly take their violated bread home and then when it came time for breakfast tomorrow, their toast would have a great big indent in the shape of my thumb looking back at them saying “Your utter disregard for humanity has resulted in forcing my hand (or my thumb, rather) to cause you this small but effective amount of pain in your meaningless and pathetic life.” Or at least I imagined that’s what my thumb print would be saying if it could talk...

Revenge really is a dish best served cold...

lol, You have evoked some memoried for me with this. I too was a check out chick, and I know excatly what you mean. I too did similar things, my all time favorite was half covering the bar code so it wouldn't scan and then have to call for a price check, and make them wait. lol

Beware of the upset check out chick!!!
