Today my mum came over and attempted to rescue my ill-fated pot plants and during the pruning, fertilising and watering, she gave me a good lecture with a compelling arguement that I thought I could apply to other avenues of my life :-
Now I've made this sound all-so profound, but really it's not. I just thought I'd make a fun list about what I prefer in quantities and what I prefer in quality.
Chocolate = Quantity. Big quantities of it. Love it. Any type. Any time. Anywhere.
Holidays: = Quality. If I'm going to spend all my hard-earned moolah on a holiday, it damn sure better be a good one!
Sex = Quality....nuf said :)
Tattoos = Quality. I cannot stress the importance of getting a QUALITY tattoo. I had an inferior tattoo for a while and it was about as annoying as a mosquito in your bedroom in summer- it wasn't going to just go away so it had to be fixed.
Music = Quantity. Love music and I can tap away to (almost) anything as long as it's got a beat. (Except that new Brittany song "Piece of Me' - what on earth is she doing putting herself onto a pedestal and rating herself so highly?? Has she not read what she's been doing these past 3 years???
Movies = Quality. I can't stand having to sit through a bad movie. It was hard work for me to make it through "Transformers" to appease my husband, despite his reassuring "You'll love it, babe! It's a great movie!" ....said the guy who flooded our laundry because he put the outlet hose from a washing machine into a bucket and then walked away...
I liked watching Transformers as a kid, and that's how it should have stayed - a happy memory of my childhood. Now it's a memory of a torturous 2hrs 20 mins of a non- animated thing that couldn't decide if it wanted to be a comedy, a drama, an action movie or a bad kids movie. Apologies to people who actually liked this movie...
Fruit = Quality. Has to be 'just right' for me to eat it. (Think Goldilocks: this one's too soft, this one's too hard....)
Oh and for those still interested, the way my mum related the "Quality vs Quantity" argument to my plants? Quantities of water for the plants, they don't tend to worry so much about the quality.
As long as it's regular, the plants will live.

I frickin' cracked up about your comment on Britney! Nice one! I am very sorry that you lost 2 hours & 20 minutes of your life watching that movie...poor thing.

Agree to all, except 2 things: I don't like tattoos and with chocolate, the cheap one tickles my throat.
