Yesterday was spent at work  tying up some loose ends before a month off.
Even though I didn't even get onto a bicycle yesterday, by the afternoon I was still feeling exhausted and unmotivated to do any drawing. Still, I managed to transfer a previous sketch I'd done onto my next flash sheet to be themed something like "Cute goes evil" and will depict some cartoons which are normally thought of as cute but with a bit of an evil spin eg a duck with a gun.

Although it's technically only hours into my first day off, I've already done some house work and got a hair cut. Going to get the hubby to help me dye my hair colour back to a more natural version of itself tonight. 

I've joined an online forum about tattooing which is really helpful ("ink trails") for not inly tattoo artists but also for people like myself who are desperate to learn as much as they can about the art and lifestyle. They have sections where you can post examples of your artwork (drawings/sketches/tattoos, whatever) and I posted a drawing I did of a spider. I was a bit nervous about the feedback I'd get but it was all positive and encouraging.

One guy posted pictures of his portfolio which, even to an absolute novice like myself,  looked terrible. He even had some actual tattoos he'd managed to put onto some poor bastard's skin! So now if I ever feel discouraged or think my artwork doesn't shape up, all I gotta do is look at his work for some re-assurance, haha. Poor guy, I hope he isn't expecting to win an archibald prize or anything....

So now I'm off to try and teach myself how to effectively use coloured pencils.
