| Bam Margera in Brisbane: I'm sorry Bam!

Yesterday while I was in Brisbane’s mall, I was embarrassed to be living in Queensland by a bunch of kids lining up to see Bam Margera. Bam is of course of Jackass fame and also in the professional skateboarding world and he was doing an in-store appearance at a surf shop in the mall.
Some of these kids had come a long way (skipping school) and waited in line for hours to meet Bam with the signing scheduled from 4 to 6pm. There was clearly no way every person was going to get an autograph due to the sheer number of people there (the line snaked down the mall for about 150metres).
At about 5:45pm, the shop hosting Bam closed its doors and told the kids that there would be no more autographs. Understandably, there were many-a-disappointed fan turned away. However, a large group of them then crowded around the entrance to the shop and started yelling “BULLSHIT! BULLSHIT!” and “SIGN OUR SHIT! SIGN OUR SHIT!”
I was really surprised that these kids (some as young as 9) were so rude and ungrateful to both Bam and the store for at least attempting to make an appearance when he could have just as easily come to Brisbane, done his business and left without signing anything.
Now I’m not the biggest fan of Bam by a long way, but I was really embarrassed after witnessing the behaviour of these kids. As if chanting “BULLSHIT” etc is going to make both Bam or the store receptive to your cause when you behave like spoiled brats who haven’t got their own way! It would serve you all right if Bam never came back to Brisbane and if the surf store never hosted a pro skater again.
In the end, the Police had to be called in to start moving people away because the crowd were getting really restless and demanding. One kid even threw a bottle at the glass doors of the shop.
So, to Bam (if he ever reads this): I want you to know that there are many nice people in Queensland who appreciated your appearance and would not have behaved in this way and I am sorry you had to be subjected to those precocious little twats.
