| So the search is still on :-) |
One thing I know I would like to do is:
Have you read "My side of the mountain"? Its wonderful!
Live in a tree house for some time, may be six months. My husband quips, "That poor tree". But I am willing to be as skinny as a bamboo pole if I get a chance to live in a tree house. I also have a plan for it.
See, when both of my children are in college, I will leave them in charge of my husband and then go off to Auroville, Pondicherry, India. There I will teach the children in the Ashram school and live in a tree house like many other teachers do. They have a open air community kitchen where I can get all the stuff to keep my tummy happy. I have been there to meet a friend of mine. And I just didnot feel like leaving that place. I will definitely do that sometime.
Another thing I want to do is if I can live as a paying guest with a japanese family, in Japan. I would love to experience their culture on my own. Not sure how feasible this is, but I will give it a try...but only when my children are independent and will not cry mummy when I am in a different part of the world.
more later...
Here are a few quotes along this line...
So, like a forgotten fire, a childhood can always flare up again within us.
All I really want is to try and live the life that is spontaneously welling up within me. Why is that so very difficult?
Atlas was permitted the opinion that he was at liberty, if he wished, to drop the Earth and creep away; but this opinion was all that he was permitted.
