in a race, everyman has he's own lane. when we cross over to the next mans lane, we risk being disqualified, we are expected to look straight ahead and mind our own and only look behind after we have crossed the line to see how far back we left our neighbours. and we do that so well. we have become so consumed with minding our selves, we never look behind to see our fallen neighbour and stop to give them a hand to get up and back on the race,we are our own keepers.
if we are kind, if we look behind and help our fallen buddies up, we are never to get consumed in that, we are to help them up and resume with the race, our problem tho, some of us, is that we get caught up, we pause in the race to watch the better runners, when one goes past us, we despair, we lose hope and sit down on the hard ground to sulk and find reason to end the race. we like to think that well, God already has Cece singing for Him, Juanitya Prophesying, Joyce preaching, Benny healing and the navigator navigating we start to think He has no use for us, has forgotten about us and we forget that His every creation has a divine purpose.
We start to make our own user friendly manual that states how we can and can not be used, and then we miss God's plan for our lives because our focus is not on the race anymore, our focus is on how well or terribly the other runners are running, we sit back and get consumed in criticism, did you ever realise that a stuck person, bored and uninspired, will always be the bigger critic? should i catch myself starting to criticise more than encourage, i believe that will be my cue, to get back on track and leave God to handle He's business, i never saw it anywhere that we should follow the man, but i see it everywhere that we should follow Christ, for only He is blameless, only He is perfect and pure, the next man is only human.
