D and I are taking a much needed mini vacation this weekend. I am so looking forward to it. I have never been to this particular place ( a cabin on Yellow Lake) but I really excited to go. As a child my family vacationed on a lake in Northern MN every year sinceI was born up until my parents divorced. I must tell you that going there was so relaxing and some of the best times of my childhood. I am really looking forward to doing somthing similar with D this wekend. Maybe we can start our own tradition.

I am working the night shift tonight so I only have one shift left until I can start getting everything ready to go, We are actually going with another couple. My cousin L and her husband J. We will be going up to a cabin that belongs to J's mom's boss. Appearenly he lets families of his staff go up there as long is someone else is not using it. He is wealthy and has a regular fishing boat as well as a pontune (sp?) boat. I think I am most excited to use the pontune boat. I have not been on one for ages, but if my memory serves me right they are a great time.

D and J will pry fish every day away while L and I  kick back and enjoy the sunshine.  I am in much need of the relaxing and here is hoping that maybe just maybe this weekend will hold a little romance for D and I...

Our puppy Abby will be coming too, I can only imagine how much fun she will have here, she loves to play in the water or at least she did in NC. I wish it was Friday already so we could be there.
