I am so frustrated-
Let me first say I have the most fantastic employees. However I am so short on staff that they are working lots of extra. Two sick staff today - and I can't be mad because of the previous statement but that means I am stuck here from 7am- til the next day at 9am. Let me add- I am salary, so I will not be paid for this. Although I love my job- I am frustrated with this part of it.
However I did recieve a small rescue- one of my former amazing staff memebers agreed to sub for the overnight. I am still working on the other shifts. I think that I would fully deserve to stay late- i mean I wouldn't expect the staff who have been working a TON of overtime (while i work little to none) to work any more.
I do however wish I had a car so I could escape to my house for a few hours before working the rest of the night. But due to my husband and I sharing for now - I am stranded.
I will just keep remembering that a week from today I will be on a flight to vegas! Boy oh Boy do I ever need this vaca!
I feel much better now that I have vented I understand it is my turn to work a little extra- so I am going to suck it up and DO IT!! :)
In the mean time I am going to go drink some caffine! :)
