Let me start off by saying that this is the first time I've ever blogged. Why I've waited so long no clue but here goes...First off a little about me without getting too personal. I'm a mother of 2, and a wife to a wonderful, loving man. We just moved 4 hours from where we both grew up and left our friends and families behind. So here we are strangers in a new place. No familiar faces no familiar names. Oh and did i forget to mention that the cost of living is almost tripled?
I miss home more than I thought I would. I miss my friends, but most of all I miss my mom. Especially now. She and my step dad had to put our beloved Rottweiller Angel to sleep yesterday. She has been sick for awhile and the vets did some x-rays and blood tests on Monday and found out she had Leukemia...so instead of letting Angel Babies (as what everyone in the family called her) suffer they made the decision to put her to sleep. She was 11 years old and lived a spoiled life. She was such a good dog. Never mean to anyone and only growled at people she didn't know. Which in my eyes is what a good dog does. She was especially good with my kids...even in the past few months when she wasn't doing so well. Never moved a muscle when they where pulling on her ears or maybe just pet her too hard for her liking. She just got up and went into another room...well enough about Angel before I start bawling my eyes out again...R.I.P girl you will be greatly missed...
Did I foget to mention that I'm only 26 and have had to deal with more shit than I care to explain. i don't want to get into specifics but my parents are divorced (since I was 15) and both have remarried. I have come to love my step dad even though we got off to a rocky start, my father's choice of spouse has well ruined our relationship. I have not spoken to him in over 3 years now because of the choices he made to chose his new wife over my brother and I. Let me put it to you this way...I sent him and invitation to my wedding and he never responded, didn't show up. I don't doubt that he never even got it. those are the games my step mother enjoys playing. She managed to get the two most important things out of my father's life...my brother and I. the three of us were all incredibly close. we did everything together. We went camping, fishing, canoeing, baseball games. He coached us both in sports for many years, but I guess all good things muct come to an end.
I would love to dive more into my personal life but I must get back to my housewife duties. So good-bye for now...
