Ok, I've had it with our civil justice system. Had it had it had it. And I want the world to know how wrong it is. I simply can't believe that things can go so horribly wrong, in AMERICA. America. Perhaps it just shows how naive I have been.
I truly believed that you know, justice will prevail and those in authority are inherently good except for a few bad apples. I am truly jaded, and becoming moreso every day.
Basic backgroun--I left my abusive ex husband in 2000. Even though he abused the kids(sexually, physically etc) he still got supervised visits. He did "good" during visits and he was allowed unspervised. The first unsupervised visit, my oldest came home bleeding from her vagina and speaking about "golden showers". Since she is handicapped, she would make a poor witness and they said they couldn't prove the scars they found internally were from him. Then who put them there, especially since she said he did.
She had to go back. Eventually, he got tired of her calling 911 when he smacked her and dropped her off and told her to find her way home. The kid is handicapped did I tell you? She called the cops and he called his lawyer who talked his way out of it.
So, here we are, many other transgressions, including me being sued for contempt of court when I miscarried on his weekend and couldn't drive the kids to PA from VA . No exclusion for parental illness in the court order you know. Bummer dude. So, it went to court and got thrown out. I've been sued for other stupid stuff too. I'vve been threatened for stupid stuff as well. For example, a blizzard doesn't really constitute a weather emergency you know and if I don't bring the kids up in the blizzard, I'm in contempt and I could lose custody.
Bascially, I have a few pieces of paper that cost me 10s of thousands of dollars that are worthless unless I can afford to enforce the decsions on the paper. I can no longer, and am no longer willing to do that.

im sorry, ya one of my freinds got raped by her dad and had to stay at our house for a few weeks till her mom could get her own place to stay. just keep hangin on good things are bound to happen sooner or later.
