| Better week this week for my son
|
|
|
Life seems to be a little easier all round this week for my son, which means life is a brighter for the rest of us who have to live with his bad moods and insecurities.
It seems that thre boys that attended his formery primary school have now started at his new school, i don't know the reason they have moved, but i do know that a mother doesn't take the decision to move three of her children from one school to another lightly. Maybe my boy wasn't the only child whose safety needs went unheard and swept under the carpet by the head teacher and the local authorities.
All I know, and hope is that, maybe by helping his friends to settle into their new school, My son will also settle in himself.
He was just eight when he had to leave his last school, he has had contact on a regular basis with his best friend from his old school, but that doesn't make too much difference to how he misses his old friends, but maybe with some moving to where he is now, this may, after 7 months be the turning point.
He certainly came home happier yesterday, Which meabt a happier chilled out house for the rest of us!!
I think children don't get taken seriously enough, they aren't robots, they react individually to circumstances, as do we all, they are too often ignored or poo-pooed as being drama queens, when in reality, we are failing them if we do not hear them, schools are failing them if they don't act when they cry "bully", In my experience, far too many schools choose the answer, "WE DON'T HAVE BULLYING HERE!"
That is rubbish, far too many reward those less well behaved by rewarding any miniscule bit of reasonable behaviour they display, while the well behaved, well amnnered children get ignored, as they are easier to handle, virtually invisible, as they are less scary and easier to manage without that level arse-licking, than the miniture yobs and thugs .
I ahd some really good responses to my last blog, thankyou all, i'm not sure how to reply to those personally, as i am unfamiliar with this blogging business.
I was going to delete my profile and forget it all, as i thought it was just silly, but as i got a few responses, maybe sounding of on the pc is a healthy and harmless way to ent feelings.
Bye for now.

I'm glad to hear your son is doing better. I'm sure with alot of patience and time he will start to thrive at his new school.
Keep blogging - don't stop you write so well and I find as a single mother of two it is a great way to relieve the "mush" that builds up with all the things we have to do.
